Sweden: Ace Wilder to the final, Charlotte Perrelli eliminated

Ace Wilder and Nano are the first two qualifiers for the final of Melodifestivalen. The group De Vet Du and Boris René will return for Andra Chansen while former Eurovision winner Charlotte Perrelli was eliminated in the first semi final.

Ace Wilder has started great at her third attempt to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest. Her song ‘Wild Child’ qualified for the final straight away. Despite comments on the synchronized choreography, from our Sweden expert Allie Lindo, Wilder seems on track to make a bid once again.

She will be joined in the final by Melodifestivalen-newcomer Nano, who made impact with his closing song ‘Hold On’. The boy band De Vet Du gave a Grease-kind-of show in their song ‘Road Trip’. It proved good enough for a spot in Andra Chansen. Opening act ‘Her Kiss’ by Boris René was also good enough for a second chance to make it to the final. Andra Chansen will be held in a few weeks.

For Charlotte Perrelli, Dinah Nah and Adrijana, Melodfestivalen 2017 was over after just a couple of hours.
