Amir: ‘We have a lot of work to do’

The French delegation was not completely happy with their first rehearsal of ‘J’ai Cherche’ last Friday. On his press conference afterwards, Amir admitted there is still a lot of work to be done.

The reaction in the betting market was not good for France as well, a they seem to have dropped their early favourite position. Amir replies:“I did not do anything to try to seduce the bookmakers. This was the first rehearsal. I can understand and respect if they did not like it. We will watch it again, have corrections, and the best performance is on May 14th. We have work to do, and I hope they like it then.”

The main criticism on Amir is that he sometimes leaves the high notes to his backings. But, the French singer denies that he does so. When asked about the reasons for his decision, Amir replies: “I am singing together with my backings, they are backing me up. It is like in the single, with multiple voices on the same time. We are trying to reproduce what people liked up to now.” He did not want to comment on the fact that the camera moves away from him during the key moments of the song. “I have not seen the shots yet.”
