Gun.Az and News.Az report that the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) is pleased with the progress so far with the ongoing preparations for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest, in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The 67th Assembly General of the European Broadcasting Union has opened in Geneva and sources in the public relations department of Ictimai TV report that the two-day meetings will be focused on work of the organization, the public broadcasters of member states and several novelties related to the field of media.

EBU Director General Ingrid Deltenre thanked next year’s host country Azerbaijan for their preparations so far for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in 2012.
