Baku 2012: Sweden wins the Eurovision Song Contest 2012

After six month of preparations, two weeks of rehearsals, and after two very difficult semi-finals, we have a winner!

28-year old Loreen with her entry “Euphoria” has officially won the 57th Eurovision Song Contest, and hearts all over Europe, for Sweden. “Euphoria”, written by Thomas G:son and Peter Boström, was a hot favourite since it’s selection back in March 2012. Loreen finished with a total of 372 points, just shy of Norway’s winner in 2009, Alexandar Rybak, who finished on 387 points. You can view the final scoreboard here.
