Today Belteleradio Company (BTRC) revealed the rules of the Belarusian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö. Songs can be submitted until the 22th of October, 2012.

After the deadline, a special jury will select up to fifteen finalists who will proceed to the semifinal, which is planned to take place in November. Five entries will qualify for the national final in December. The exact dates of the semifinal and the final will be revealed soon.

Belarus made their debut in 2004 and has qualified just twice for the final. Their best result was achieved in 2007 by Dmitry Koldun, when they came 6th. In 2012, Belarus was represented by Litesound (pictured above) with their rock/pop song ‘We Are The Heroes’, but was unable to qualify to the final.

Who do you want to see representing Belarus in Malmö?

Stay tuned!
