Belgian’ childrens television station, “Ketnet” has today published the nine songs that will take part in their national selection show for this year’s Junior Eurovision, “Junior Eurosong“.

The ever-changing format of the show takes a turn once again, as this year the candidates will compete over three semifinals, with just three advancing to the final. The semifinals will take place between October 1st – 3rd, whilst the final will take place on Saturday, October 6th at 8.30am.

Three coaches have been assigned to guide the participants as they prepare to take part in the show. Singer and TV host Brahim is the coach for Alicia & Mariam, Guillaume & Lieselot and Lowie, whilst Lalaladies, Laurens and Mai-li are coached by former K3 singer Kathleen. Musician Ronny Mosuse will coach his three hopefullys, Fabian, Jana and Jens.

The shows will be presented by Niels Destadsbader, who was part of the selection process in 2009. He says: “From when I was a coach in the show three years ago, I saw from up close what a great experience Junior Eurosong is for the kids and how intensive they get into it. I may be the presenter, but I still feel like a big brother for the other juniors.”

From tomorrow, all of the candidates videos’ will be shown on television for the first time. A documentary show will be aired on Ketnet from Monday – Thursday between September 3rd and 27th – showing the whole selection process to the public from the beginning.
