Bosnia and Bulgaria: ‘We will decide by 10 October’

Bosnia-Herzegovina wants to make its comeback to the Eurovision Song Contest once again, but the financial situation for broadcaster BHRT is still weak. The same goes for Bulgaria. They both have confirmed their preliminary application, but will make their final decision only in October.

Dejan Kukric, Head of Delegation for Bosnia-Herzegovina, has spoken with the reliable newspaper Blix and told them that BHRT wants to return to the contest again. The last couple of years, they had to withdraw after their preliminary application, because they could not get the money to participate. And that situation hasn’t changed yet: “By 10 October, we will know whether the BHRT return to Eurovision or not,” says Kukric.

Bulgarian broadcaster BNT has also confirmed that they are on board, but also reply that it is still unsure if they will still be on the list mid October.

Broadcasters have until that date to withdraw from the contest without getting a fine after they have confirmed their participation.
