Bulgaria’s most successful act at Eurovision, Elitsa Todorova and Stoyan Yankulov are set to release their next album this autumn. The duo are still going strong in the Balkan country – with their innovative style and experiments with music, combining Bulgarian folk music with drum and bass, mixed with modern beats and electro elements.

“There will be lots of surprises – this will be our 3rd album. Bulgarian folklore is so strong, it’s unique music so we must be very proud of it and share it with the world.” Elitsa said today to Bulgarian “Music Space” TV. “I’m so excited to meet so many young people, who like folklore music and dances. Something big is coming in Bulgarian folklore music!”

Elitsa and Stoyan placed fifth with the song “Water” back in Eurovision 2007. After first working together in 2003 they released their first album before participating in Europe’s favourite TV show – whilst putting out a hugely successful follow up disc after their success at the contest. Since then, the duo have also played in concerts in over fifty countries all over the world.

Meanwhile, Bulgaria’s Eurovision broadcaster, BNT are looking for opinions and ideas regarding their participation in the contest next year – read more here.
