The fifth Sofia Pride parade will take place on June 30, 2012. Former national finalists, hosts and Eurovision participants of Bulgaria will take part in this year’s celebration.

Maria Ilieva (host of NF 2011), Orlin Pavlov (host of NF 2011), Sofi Marinova (2012), Polly Genova (2011), Tsvetelina Chendova (NF 2011) and the boy band Voice of Boys will perform at the event. All of the artists will sing for free, for the support, the equality and human dignity of all people regardless of their sexual orientation and gender identity.

The Sofia Pride is a combination of socio-political protest and entertainment elements. The main objectives of the event is to increase the visibility of the LGBT community to support public debate on its adoption. The event will be attended by European politicians, diplomats, Bulgarian and international organizations and, of course, thousands of ordinary Bulgarians who want to live in a society free from homophobia. The full schedule of the events can be found here.

Sofi Marinova finished 11th in the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with the song “Love Unlimited”. “Love Unlimited” talks about love that has no limits, language or colour.

Любовта няма граница, език и цвят, Равна е за всички в този свят За теб, за мен, за тях!
