Over 100 persons showed their willingness to become a show presenter of 2010 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. 100 application forms were sent to Belteleradiocompany. An average age of applicants who sent their forms to take part in the show which will take place in Minsk-Arena is from 18 to 30.
Students and high-school children with advanced study of English expressed interest to take part in the casting. It is worthwhile noting that people from all regions of Belarus sent application forms. A native of Belarus, who studies, lives or spends holidays abroad, sent their applications.
Models and stars of the Belarusian stage and show business participated in the casting. Among them are Olga Barabanschikova, Ksenia Sitnik, Olga Satuk, Anna Moliboga and others.
The candidates were supposed to demonstrate not only their good command of English and French, but also an ability to perform on the scene, work on camera and improvise. They underwent special coaching by stage directors of Belteleradiocompany.
The name of a host or host of Junior Eurovision 2010 will be announced in autumn, after an expert group of Belteleradiocompany studies the videos of all pretenders and chooses the best. Some participants of the casting may be invited to work in the project as interpreters, managers and volunteers.
Young talents from 14 states aged 10-15 are going to take part in Junior Eurovision 2010 in Minsk on November 20.
