All 18 ‘Destination Eurovision’ acts in France are confirmed

All 18 participating acts in ‘Destination Eurovision’, the French national preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018, have been confirmed by broadcaster France2. Among the participants is one artist with Australian roots: Malo’.

1500 candidates applied to take part in the French preselection. The delegation of France narrowed it down to 18 lucky acts. They will perform in two semi finals on the 13th and 20th of January. The national final in France, with the four best acts from each semi, will be held on the 27th of January.

Another Australian artist in Eurovision 2018?

The Australian-French singer-songwriter Malo’ is one of the participants in the French preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. Malory Pablo Legardinier is from Caen, where he does his musical apprenticeship. An early singer, he first appeared on stage at the age of seven. Eager to become the master of his songs, he learns successively bass, drums and guitar and piano, and composes his first songs.

Later at sixteen, he recorded his first title, “Over Place or Off the Premises”, followed by the album self-produced The Old Way, which appeared in 2011. It is in Australia, where his mother lives, that Malo ‘performs his first promotional tour in the spring of 2012. He also took the opportunity to win the Northern Beaches Festival Award in front of a hundred local competitors.

At the beginning of 2013, Malo’ began writing and composing the songs of his new album Be / Being. Now we are five years later and he will try to represent France at the Eurovision Song Contest.
