Georgia selects folk band Iriao for Lisbon

Iriao, the Georgian band for Eurovision 2018

Iriao will present Georgia at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest. According to public broadcaster GPB the band makes a combination of jazz and Georgian ethno folk music.

Composer Davit Malazonia is the music director of the band. He worked in Germany during 15 years. For the last 30 years he has been composing music for theater and TV as well as for musicians and bands. He worked both in Georgia and Germany.

Georgian Eurovision song presented later

The band Iriao was established by Malazonia’s initiative and debuted in 2013. When the Georgian song will be available is not yet certain.

    May I wish everyone in the sphere of the Eurovision Song Contest a Happy New Year and an easier 2018. Also my I send my very best of luck to Portugal in hosting this years Eurovision Song Contest after their victory last year in Kiev, Ukraine.
