ESCDaily.com caught up with the Hungarian representative back in 2011 – Kati Wolf! We chatted to her about the changes in her career since the contest, and her current aspirations as an artist. Kati Wolf represented Hungary in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest with the song “What about my dreams?” and finished 22nd in the grand final.

Check out what she had to say to our site below;

ESCDaily.com: How is everything going since we last caught up with you, and how is your career and life a year after the Eurovision Song Contest?

Kati: The Eurovision Song Contest will always be an unforgettable memory; I still receive fantastic feedback on it from the audience. Everyone at home is very proud of me. I was invited to London for a performance before the 2012 Song Contest, where the whole crowd sang along with me during my performance of last year’s song. It was a wonderful experience.

ESCDaily.com: Do you think that Eurovision was helpful for your career?

Kati: Absolutely! I didn’t only sing for myself in Düsseldorf; I was representing Hungary, and everyone was cheering me on. Every singer dreams about what I felt then.

ESCDaily.com: What do you think about Compact Disco and “Sound of our hearts” that represented Hungary in Eurovision 2012? Did you have any favorite entries?

Kati: “Sound of our hearts” was my personal favorite. I think the band presented an excellent performance playing today’s modern music. I was so proud of them!

ESCDaily.com: Would you take part in Eurovision again?

Kati: No, I would not. There are so many brilliant artists and songs; we have to show something new every year.

ESCDaily.com: Do you have any plans for a new album or single release?

Kati: My brand new hit, called “The Last Time” has just been released. I really like this song, because it reveals a different side of me. The music video is very beautiful and has a special atmosphere. I’m so glad that my fans like it.

ESCDaily.com: Finally, do you have any message for the ESCDaily.com readers and Eurovision fans?

Kati: I left a piece of my heart in Düsseldorf. Participating in the song contest was an unforgettable trip, I’m really grateful!

ESCDaily.com would like to thank Kati for her time and wish her the best in her music career!
