ED: Welcome Rósa and thanks for this interview. We want to get to know you, tell us a bit about yourself ?

I find it very hard to explain myself but I guess all in all I´m a happy person that enjoys life, music and food!
I am a singer in two bands, a dj, a good friend and a mother!

ED: This is the first time you are competing in Söngvakeppni Sjóvarpsins, are you excited ?

Yes this is so much fun, I´ve never had backing vocalists and dancers before, so this is all new to me.

ED: I have to ask, are you a Eurovision fan ?

I was very much as a kid and nowadays I´ve kind of gotten back into it because every year for the final I´m invited to a really fun party with great people. So I do enjoy it although you wouldn´t call me an enthusiast.

ED: Your song is different from the other songs we have heard yet, tell us about your song and the lyrics?

Well it´s just a real feel good song and the lyrics can be translated in a few ways I guess. I always think it´s best for the listener to decide for themself.

ED: You are in a duo in Iceland called Feldberg. You have been getting awards and performing abroad, tell us about the band and what you have been doing.

Well it´s been alot of fun. Last year we played in Berlin and Paris on one trip. Went twice to Ireland where we are signed with small town america and in november we travelled all the way to Japan to play a few gigs. We also have a record deal there. So it´s great to be in a band and travel and make music.

ED: Wow, you guys have been busy, will there be a record coming from the band this year ?

Yes we are working on the second album now and hopefully get it out during the next fall.

ED: are you excited about your performance on Saturday ?

Yes alot and starting to dream funny dreams about it!

ED: Do you think it is a big opportunity to sing in Söngvakeppni Sjónvarpsins and in The Eurovision Song Contest ?

Well definitely yes because it´s such a broad audience.

ESCDaily: Do you have big plans in music in the future ?

Hahahh I think it´s best not to plan too much just keep on doing it while it´s your passion and hopefully things roll along and people enjoy your music. It´s definitely about you and the audience and both have to enjoy it.

ED: What will you do if you will be chosen to go to Baku ?

I will be very happy and start worrying immediately what to wear.

ED: Do you have any message to ESCDaily readers?

Just hope that you love the song as much as I do, unfortunately some of you cannot vote here in Iceland!

We wish the best of luck to Rósa Birgitta Ísfeld for Saturday and the second semi-final in Iceland! You can listen to her entry Stund með þér, below;
