RTÉ, the Irish national broadcaster, has just revealed its plans for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012.

RTÉ will follow last years formula with mentors selecting artists and entries. The number of the mentors will be five; the same as last year, plus five artists will compete in the Irish final. Linda Martin will be one of the mentors taking part with Jedward who represented Ireland in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest. Linda Martin won Eurovision 1992 and finished second in 1984 representing Ireland.

Jedward earlier confirmed by themselves their participation in the national process. The band claims that currently they are in discussions with Louis Walsh (UK X Factor judge) and they will select their entry between 22 potentional entries.
