Israel: Julietta and Diana got best quarter final results

Julietta and Diana Golbi have qualified themselves with ease for the semi final of The Next Star of Eurovision in Israel. The former Kdam participant and the former winner of Pop Idol got the best results from the coaches in the quarter final and are now among the final six acts.

The winning act on February 13th will get the honour of representing Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kiev. Israel will take part in the second half of the second semi final on the 11th of May.

During the first quarter final show on Monday, the remaining eight participants were divided in head-to-head duels. The winner of each duel advanced automatically to the semi final:

Julietta (88%) – Sapir Nahon (79%)
Imri Ziv (73%) – The Beatbox Element (49%)
Halli Lewis (58%) – Ta-La-Te (69%)
Yona Shabin (38%) – Diana Golbi (83%)

The losing four acts got a second chance during the second quarter final show, which aired on Tuessday. They participated in head-to-head duels again, and the winner of each duel got a ticket to the semi final after all. Remarkable fact was that Yona Shavin would have easily beaten the last qualifying act The Beattbox Element is they would have been paired as a duel:

Yona Shavin (85%) – Sapir Nahon (87%)
Halli Lewis (52%) – The Beatbox Element (56%)

The semi finals of The Next Star of Eurovision will air on the 6th and 7th of February. The grand final takes place on February 13th.
