Israel: Song presentation on March 1st

The Israeli entry for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest will be presented to local fans on March 1st, at approximately 16:00 local time (15:00CET) it has been reported.

Earlier this month, a 11 member IBA appointed committee internally selected Izabo to represent the country in Baku with the song ‘Time’. Local OGAE club members are invited to the special event on March 1st, which is scheduled to begin at 16:00-16:30 local time, where the band will answer questions from the audience and press plus of course premiere their entry to the contest titled ‘Time’. In addition, the film clip for ‘Time’ is expected to be filmed soon after.

The indie rock group is described as including high vocals, expressive Arab-flavoured guitar work, powerfully funky basslines with disco beats. Within Israel, the group has a reputation of being an energetic and absorbing live act. Their entry to Eurovision 2012 is titled ‘Time’ and is described as a pop song with an oriental influence.

The band is made up of; Ran Shem-Tov (vocals and guitar), Shiri Hadar (keyboards), Jonathan Levy (bass guitar) and Nir Mantzur (drums).
