National broadcaster of Albania, RTSH will debut in this years’ Junior Eurovision Song Contest, the 10th edition of the show. The broadcaster, also behind Albania’s participation at adult Eurovision has kicked off proceedings by inviting children and teenagers to send in songs to the company – with a televised final to select an entry in September.

Speaking to Russian-language website ESCKaz.com about the reasons for joining the contest, Albania’s Eurovision delegation head – Kleart Duraj – said “It’s simple. Because we have good music in Albania.”. Last year’s contest has already been broadcast on January 1st this year in Albania, despite not taking part.

Singers can send in their songs to the broadcaster headquarters (on CD, along with instrumental version, a photograph of themselves and a copy of their birth certificate) for consideration. More information can be obtained by calling 04 223 08 42.

Stay Tuned!
