Amsterdam will be the beating heart of the final of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The Netherlands which is famous for its boats, canals, and the sea, turns into a winter wonderland for three months each year and when the temperature drops, the water turns to ice. This is why this year’s theme is Break The Ice!
In December the international music stars of the future will not only come together to celebrate their love of music, but they will also be apart of the 10th anniversary of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
“So here is our message to all children, their families, fans and the audience: let’s break the ice in Amsterdam!”, the organisers from the Host Broadcaster AVRO stated. “With a little help from Mother Nature, Amsterdam will be one big “Winter Wonderland” in December, so we really couldn’t resist this theme.”
“It’s fresh, bold and reflects the motto Break The Ice. This logo is a promise of what might just become the coolest Junior Eurovision Song Contest to date!” said Sietse Bakker, Supervisor of the contest on behalf of the EBU.
