Ukraine’s national selection for Junior Eurovision will take place on this Saturday (July 31st) from the open air concert venue at children’s camp “Artek”, in the island of Crimea in south of the country. Starting at 20.00 local time (19.00 CET), fourteen songs will compete to represent Ukraine at Junior Eurovision 2010. The winner will be chosen by SMS and jury voting. The show will be hosted by Timur Miroshnichenko (JESC 2009 host, commentator for Ukraine at Eurovision events) along with teenager Liza Dementyeva. Short “diaries” on the selection have been aired on NTU thoughout the week, showing the participants in their preperations for the show on Sunday. These are the 14 songs that will take part in the show, in the running order for the show which was decided yesterday:

01. Alicia Kalashnikova, 14, Odessa – “Sontse” (“The Sun”).
02. Roman Bendarskiy, 15, Kyiv. – “Yedyna kraiina” (“One country”).
03. Tatiana Markovska, 11, Kyiv. – “Ty spivay!” (“You sing!”)
04. Li, 14, Kyiv. – “Sopilka” (“The pipe”)
05. Julia Gorska, 15, Vinnytsia. – “Miy litak” (“My plane”).
06. Anna Priimak, 13, Dniprorudne. – “Dubravka” (“Oak forest”)
07. Valentyna Danyliuk, 12, Shypyntsi. – “Try bazhannia” (“Three wishes”).
08. Duet “Uncle Slava + Inna Riche”, Mykolaiv. – “So happy”.
09. Daniela Yakobchuk, 11, Uzhgorod. – “Sonyachna prisnya” (“A Sunny Song”).
10. Yuriy Kravchenko, 13, Bila Tserkva. – “Velyk” (“Big”).
11. Mykyta Ishchenko, 13, Kyiv. – “NLO” (“UFO”).
12. Victoria Lytvynchuk, 12, Gorodok. – “Zozulya” (“Cuckoo”).
13. Dmytro Borodin, 13, Donetsk. – “Kiber macho” (“Cyber macho”).
14. Khrystyna Tkachuk 11, Kolomyia. – “Shkilnyi avtobus” (“School Bus”).

The opening/interval acts for the show will all be by the participants of the selection, performances by orphans and winners of “Na zustrich mrii” (Following the meeting of a dream) festival.
