The creative team of Georgian broadcaster GPB made its decision regarding the qualifiers of 2012 Junior Eurovision Song Contest (JESC). The selected children are: Kate Samkharadze, Nini Dashniani, Luka Karmazanashvili and Elene Arachashvili. They will form a group called “Shesanishnavi Otkheuli” (The Fantastic 4), which will represent Georgia at 2012 JESC.
Professionals will help the selected children in process of writing and composing several music compositions for the National Final. The concert, which will wrap up the national selection tour, is scheduled to be held in September. The winning song will be revealed according to the joint decision of a competent jury and the televoting public.
Kati Samkharadze – 13 years old. She was born in Borjomi. She is a member of ensemble ,,Little Georgians” . She is the winner of TV project ,,Ana-Bana”. She ranked the 1st place in Choral music festival , which was held in Italy. In 2011 she became a laureate of Gogi Dolidze Festival. In 2011 she took part in National Selection of Junior Eurovision and was qualified 2nd place. She studies at studio ,,Enki-Benki”.
Nini Dashniani – 11 years old . She was born in Brussels. She studies at # 52 public school. She is a scholarship holder of Music school # 7 . Nini took part in the Musical ,,Oliver”.
Luka Karmazanashvili – 12 years old . He is the winner of music contest ,, 2008 Stars” . He is a participant of TV Project ,, Talents”. In the animation ,,Skupi” he dubbed the main character.
Elene Arachashvili – 10 years old. She is a student at gymnasium “Shavnabada.” She studies at Bzikebistudio. Elene plays the piano.
Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) announced national selection process to choose a Georgian representative for the 2012 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Young stars and talented children aged 10-15 from across Georgia were encouraged to apply till the 29th of June.
JESC has been proven a successful contest for GPB, as Georgia has won the contest twice.
