Kiev 2017: Anja Nissen just narrowly qualified for final

Anja Nissen Australian singer

The second Semi-Final was won by Bulgaria with a total of 403 points, also thanks to winning both the jury vote as well as the televote. Remarkably, the difference between number 10 (Denmark) and number 11 (Serbia) was only 3 points.

Therefore, Australian singer Anja Nissen just narrowly sneaked through to the final of the contest. Denmark got the 16th place in the televoting market, where Switzerland would have qualified as number 10 and Estonia was even a qualifier in sixth place.

The jury voted Switzerland (11th) and Estonia (17th!) down and eliminated them from the contest. Croatia was saved that fate, even though Jacques Houdek only got a 13th place with the jury. They saw Serbia and Malta as qualifiers.
