Song 1: Tooji – Stay
First on stage is one of the fan favourites Tooji! Tooji hits the stage with great energy, enthusiasm and new choreography. His vocals are strong throughout the performance and the synchronised choreography caps off a very strong performance. ‘Stay’ is a very catchy song is catchy and has a lot of potential on the Eurovision stage. Will it make the superfinal? Stay tuned!
Song 2: Reidun Sæther – High On Love
Next on stage is the uptem. Reidun is wearing a brand new outfit, being a red dress with sparkling sequins. Similar to her performance in the semifinal, Reidun’s vocals are once again flawless. The focus of the performance is solely on Reidun as she is once again on stage alone. A very catchy uptempo entry which has great chances to make the superfinal.
Song 3: Lise Karlsnes – Sailors
Tonight’s wildcard is Lise Karlsnes’ techno-styled entry Sailors. Lise is joined on stage by several backing dancers and she gives a strong vocal performance. Overall, the performance is very strong, but not as exciting as the previous two. Probably being the wildcard it would be an outsider to make the superfinal.
Song 4: Plumbo – Ola Nordmann
Next are the favourites of tonight’s final Plumbo! The band give an unchanged performance and presentation, which is typical of rock bands on the national selection stage. The group are on stage with their instruments rocking out to Ola Nordmann. Looking at the song’s position on the Norwegian itunes chart, this should be one of the superfinalist entries. Will it make it? Stay tuned!
Song 5: Malin Reitan – Crush
Malin with the entry Crush is next on stage. Crush is a typical pop entry and Malin is accompanied on stage with several backing dancers. Her voice is strong but the entry doesn’t seem to have potential to be a hit in Eurovision. However, Malin receives a warm applause at the end of the performance.
Song 6: Nora Foss al-Jabri – Somewhere Beautiful
The first ballad for tonight is about to be performed as young Nora Foss al-Jabri hits the stage. Her melodic ballad Somewhere Beautiful is presented by Nora with two violinists. Noras voice is very beautiful and brings out the lyrics well. The entry is not too catchy, but is very elegant on stage. A big chance for the superfinal with all the uptempo entries thus far.
Song 7: The Carburetors – Don’t Touch The Flame
Retro rock is making a comeback tonight with The Carburetors on stage now with Don’t Touch The Flame. The high energy song and performance is very eye catching and may achieve a surprise result tonight. The song is very catchy and stands out especially after the ballad. I wouldn’t count this out of the superfinal!
Song 8: Petter Øien & Bobby Bare – Things Change
Keeping up the variety tonight is now a country song! Things Change was a bit of a shock qualifier to some eurofans, but the entry is quite catchy in parts and deserved a spot in the final. The vocals by Petter and Bobby are in tune and they are joined on stage by a violinist. A nice entry and has strong chances to make the superfinal!
Song 9: Yaseen & Julie Maria – Sammen
Next on stage is the entry Sammen (en: Together) dedicated to last year’s dramatic and terrorising events in the Norwegian capital. The rap entry is great on stage and is greatly complimented by the camera work by the crew tonight. The duo are joined on stage by a massive choir, giving a big lift to the chorus of the song. Not sure how it’d work at Eurovision, but a very catchy entry.
Song 10: Tommy Fredvang – Make It Better
The final song tonight is Make It Better which is a very catchy radio friendly tune from Tommy Fredvang! Tommy has an unchanged performance from the semifinal, which is once again full of energy and power from the newcomer. The entry has many chances to make the superfinal but is up against a lot of tough competition!
Stay tuned for the results and the announcement of the superfinals!
We’re back and ready to hear the first set of results!
