The host of tonights show

Song 1. Herbert Guðmundsson – Eilíf ást

Eilíf ást is the first entry for tonights show. Actually, this is the only pop song of Söngvakeppni Sjónvarpsins 2012! Herbert is accompanied on stage by three female and two male vocalists. He is dressed in a black costume while the stage is dimmed red. This entry has a potential but the performance isn’t catchy enough.

Song 2. Magni Ásgeirsson – Hugarró

Magni is next on stage! Magni took part in Söngvakeppni Sjónvarpsins 2012 and finished in the top three of the scoreboard. Hugarró is a very catchy rock entry and probably will be one of the finals entry soon. The stage is dimmed black and there are a pianist and four guitarists on stage. Magni is dressed also in black! The direction isn’t helping that much the whole presentantion of the entry thought this song might reach the finals.

Song 3. Greta Salóme, Heiða & Guðrún Árný – Aldrei sleppir mér

Aldrei sleppir mér is the third entry of tonights show. Each of Greta, Heida and Gudrun are wearing a beautiful white dress. This is a very nice ballad performed well. The stage is dimmed blue while at the bridge of the song, three backing vocalists appear on stage.

Song 4. Svenni Þór – Augun þín

Svenni is next on stage! This is a rock-ballad entry. Svenni is accompanied on stage by four guitarists and one pianist. This is a nice but not that catchy entry. Svenni’s vocals and his performance are very good overall.

Song 5. Íris Lind Verudóttir – Aldrei segja aldrei

Aldrei segja aldrei is the last entry of tonights show! Iris is accompanied on stage by three backing vocalists and a female violinist. This is another ballad entry; Iris is wearing a red dress. This entry is monotone with not many key changes. Though, Iris receives a very warm applause at the end of her performance.

Stay tuned for the results!
