Today the Icelandic Head of Delegation Jónatan Gardarsson has confirmed exclusively to ESCDaily.com that Iceland will definitely participate at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö.

Additionally RÚV confirmed to our website that Iceland will choose it’s entrant and song through Söngvakeppni Sjónvarpsins as per usual.

Iceland is one of the most successful countries alongside Malta to never win the competition. Iceland has come close twice, finishing runnerup in 1999 and 2009 – will 2013 be the lucky year for Iceland?

Stay tuned for more news about the Icelandic participation!
