The Moldovan national selection is underway, and as it was already announced, a total of 85 songs have made it a step closer to Baku. Today, TRM announced some changes for the national final, which is to take place on March 10th. The main change is that a total of 21 candidates will make it to the final instead of 23. Therefore, 20 entries will be chosen by a jury whilst one (instead of three) will be chosen by internet voting.

Tomorrow, the jury will listen to the 85 songs submitted to the broadcaster and will shortlist a total of 60 entries. The selected songs will proceed to a day of auditions in front of the jury (to take place next weekend) where they will select 20 finalists. Then, fans will have the chance to vote for their favorite entry out of those that the jury did not choose at TRM’S Official Eurovision Page , where the candidate with the most votes will be the 21st finalist in the selection.

The national final winner will be chosen by both a jury and televote in Moldova, each having a 50% say in the result.

Stay tuned for more news about the Moldovan national selection!

I'm Adrian (Adri, for my friends) and of course I've been a huge fan of the Eurovision Song Contest for 10 years, when I was 6. Also I love the JESC, but I follow it a little bit less. My favourite Eurovision countries of all times are: Spain, Sweden and the UK. Also I like a few more mediterranean and scandinavian countries!
