Moldovan national broadcaster TRM has announced the Moldovan National Final will take place on March 10th, 2012, therefore confirming their eight consecutive Eurovision participation since 2005.

The submission period has already opened and will close later this month on January 16th at 18:00 local time. In 2012, TRM invites both local and foreign acts and composers to submit their entries to the national selection until the submission deadline closes.

In the Moldovan selection in 2012, there will be a total of three phases. In the first phase, a jury will critique the entries and pick an undetermined amount of entries to make it to phase two – the live audition phase. In this phase, the jury will watch the performances of the entries and therefore choose the best 20 to make it to the third and final phase; the Moldovan National Final. Joining them will be three special internet wildcards, making a National Final of 23 participants. The lucky finalists will be announced on February 11th.
