Marcin Mrozinski is back! After his performance during Eurovision 2010 he has some serious plans for his career. In July he will represent Poland in the Suncane Skale Festival to be held in Herceg Novi, Montenegro. Additionally, he has recently announced that his debut album will be out next September!

You can read our interview with Marcin and listen to his latest song, “Is that a real love”, below!

1.What is your opinion about this year’s Eurovision Song Contest?

I was watching Eurovision through eurovision.tv and I really loved the show. Both Semis and The Grand Final. A lot of great songs and singers. I was so happy for Loreen. She was my favorite from the first listening. Azerbaijan made their best to show their country from the best sides. I am more than sure that Eurovision will help them to fight for human rights. The Baku Crystal Hall was impressive and I loved the idea of flags from the lights outside.

2. You were the first person who spoke about TVP’s problems with sending a representative this year. Do you think TVP will change their attitude towards eurovision in the future?

Actually I have no idea how long will it take them to think about Eurovision more seriously. Hopefully, not too long. I said it’s a good idea to withdraw this year, cause it couldn’t be worse than it had been. So, it was a positive information. Finally it changed something. Polish media were more interested in Eurovision when we didn’t have a representative than with. I guess TVP don’t have the easy way to go. They need to make Eurovision a big deal for Poles again. It won’t be easy. But if we want to become successful, we need to work on it, not only to expect it. I am sure we will manage to do it. Euro 2012 shows that we can be great hosts. So? Why not hosting Eurovision?

3. Which song was your favourite this year?

Loreen was of course my no.1, but I loved so many songs this year. I was so happy for Spain to be back to TOP 10. I expected even TOP 5 for them. Estonia, Albania, Moldova, Azerbaijan, UK, Italy and many many more…

4. You’re the first Polish representative who is going to take part in Suncane Skale Festival 2012 in Montenegro! Can you tell us something more about the festival and your song “Is that a real love?”

Thanks to Eurovision I met Milica Fajgelj. She was working with me for my new song for Suncane Skale 2012. It’s a festival in Montenegro, very popular in Balkan countries. They are having an international contest for “A Song of The Summer”. She proposed me to take part and we prepared a song “Is that a real love” composed by Marcin Nierubiec (same composer as “Legenda” my ESC song), with the lyrics by myself. So, cross your fingers for me on the 3rd of July 2012. I am so proud to be the first Polish representative in that festival. My song is a very radio friendly song. I hope you’ll like it.

5. Are there any plans to spend your holidays in Montenegro and to enjoy a pleasant stay there during the festival?

You have no idea how I wish to have some holidays. I’ve heard Montenegro is so charming and so warm. Wish I could stay there but unfortunately I have to be back to Poland after the festival. The good thing is that it’s because I am moving to Germany. I got a musical contract in Hamburg. So after Montenegro I am having 3 days in Warsaw and then WILKOMMEN IN DEUTSCHLAND.

6. What about your plans for your debut album? When and where will it be released?

That’s one of the reason I am going to Hamburg. I am going there to sing and dance. New experiences, a great way to learn something new and to earn money for my solo album. I want it to be 100% mine, that’s why I don’t want to cooperate with any recording company, etc. September 2013, that’s the date of releasing it.

7. Finally, do you have a message for the ESCDaily readers?

Hope to see you all in Poland, visiting my lovely country. For those who I have on facebook: keep being updated to where I am, what I do and thank you for your support. It’s so great to have you every day so close. See you in Sweden next year, hopefully I will come to enjoy Eurovision with you.

Thank you Marcin and we wish you the best in the festival!
