Preview: Boggie vs. Ádám in Hungarian final tonight

The final of Hungary’s preselection A Dal seems to turn into a one-on-one fight between Boggie and the surprising newcomer Ádám Szabó. In the background, Kati Wolf tries to put herself in an underdog position. ESC Daily looks ahead to tonight’s grand final.

Traditionally, the jury has a large say in Hungary’s decision for Eurovision. They will give verbal feedback after each performance, and will allocate 12, 10, 8, 6, 4 and 2 points to the acts after all the songs have been performed. The top four from this first voting will qualify for the superfinal. In this superfinal, televoters decide who will represent Hungary in Vienna at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Considering the results of the first two rounds, Ádám Szabó and Boggie are the two big favorites. They both scored 76 points altogether with the jury’s, and received 17 points from the App Vote. Because of these high scores, they did not need televoting to qualify for the next rounds. Therefore, it can not be said with certainty how the last televoting will turn out.

Pre-contest favorite Kati Wolf scored 73 points from the jury and 16 from the App Vote so far. The young band PASSED is a huge jury favorite, but did not score well in the App so far, which could indicate a lack of televoting support. Boyband Spoon is the only competitor that qualified both times through televoting. Their audience support is large, but will they manage to survive the first partition?

Below, you can find an overview of the scores so far. The final of A Dal starts tonight at 20:20.
