After speculation and rumours that the broadcaster was looking to withdraw in 2012, Romania was confirmed to participate in Eurovision 2012 last month. Yesterday, further details were announced by head of delegation Mr. Dan Manoliu.

Romanian head of delegation in 2012, Mr. Dan Manoliu, has confirmed that TVR will broadcast the Romanian National Final on March 10th, 2012. The submission period will open next week, on February 6th, and close later this month on February 23rd. After the submission period closes, a TVR appointed jury will then select between 12 and 17 songs to qualify for the March 10th final. The final will take place as usual in the Romanian capital Bucharest.
