San Marino: Serhat presents his song ‘I didn’t know’

Serhat will sing the song ‘I didn’t know‘ for San Marino at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm. The Turkish singer has presented his song to fans and media during a press conference in Paris.

San Marino will perform this ballad in the first half of the first semi final, in the same half as countries like Armenia, Greece, Hungary and Russia. Below you can watch the clip of the song that has to give San Marino their second place in the Grand Final in their history:

The composer is Olcayto Ahmed Tusus who previous sang for Turkey as part of Nazar in ESC 1978 with the entry “Sevince“. Tusus was also a Turkish backing sincer in ESC 1982 and a composer and lyricist in 1987 with the entry “Sarkim Sevgi Ustune”.

Greek musician Nektarios Tyrakis has written the lyrics for Serhat’s entry “I didn’t knowLove Me Tonight“.

Serhat Hacıpaşalıoğlu was born and raised in Istanbul and started his producing career by establishing his own company in 1994, End Productions. In 1997, with his first single, “Rüya-Ben Bir Daha”, his musical career began.
