Serbia: “Our aim is to come back”

Serbia will probably return to the Eurovision stage in 2015. Broadcaster RTS yesterday officially confirmed the ongoing rumours about their comeback.

Last year, Serbia had to withdraw from the competition at the very last moment, due to both financial problems and the unfortunate death of ‘mister Eurovision’ Aleksandar Tijanic. RTS plans to return for the jubileum edition of next year, however, financial problems still cause the broadcaster to remain cautious.

“We uphold our right to withdraw from the competition before the deadline of October 10th,” an RTS spokesman declared to ESC Daily. “This is also the reason why we have not yet decided on our selection process.”

Fellow former Yugoslav countries like Croatia and Bosnia & Herzegovina are also rumoured to return to Eurovision in Austria. ESC Daily keeps digging into that in order to bring you the news as it breaks.
