After winning Eurovision, Loreen is experiencing success all over Europe, first with a big tour around Sweden, plus also visiting several European countries including Spain. On Saturday 14th, it was announced at the music radio station, ‘Los 40 principales‘, that she would be visiting Madrid, due to the success of Euphoria on the week-chart, being in third position. The following Monday the same radio station announced that she would be giving a mini-concert at one of the most famous halls in Madrid, ‘40 CAFÉ‘ (Gran Vía 55, Madrid) in the city center.
Loreen arrived in Madrid last Thursday morning and Spanish Eurovision broadcaster TVE aired a feature on Loreen walking around the city in the morning followed by an interview with the star on local news. Later, she had an appointment at one of the most popular TV gossip programs in Spain, ‘Sálvame‘, where she was singing her song ‘Euphoria‘.
An hour later, Loreen was due to attend a live performance at ’40 CAFÉ’, to sing the 2012 Eurovision winning song, again. ESCDaily.com was there at the presentation and we can say, she has an impressive voice! After this, it was scheduled that Loreen would interact with fans and press, but without reason, the chaotic organisation announced that there had been a change of plans without explanation. Therefore many fans went without photos, autographs and local media without interaction with the singer. Furthermore the organisation later informed press that Loreen was ‘tired’ and unable to finish off her schedule. Spanish press who also attended the event, agreed with us about the chaotic organisation of the event and surely it was not Loreen’s fault, because she did her best to give something to all her fans.
A few people who were not informed about the situation went to the backdoor of the hall, and could meet Loreen for a few minutes and were able to get an autograph or a photo with the singer.
You can view the live performance from ’40 CAFÉ’ below;
Regardless of the outcome of the event, ESCDaily.com would like to thank Loreen for coming to Spain, and we hope you are back soon!
