ESCDaily has recieved confirmation from the Swedish broadcaster at Junior Eurovision TV4 that Sweden will not be participating in the 2010 edition of the contest. This comes just one year after Sweden returned to the contest with the song “Du” performed by Mimmi Sandén.

We have also been in contact with the previous JESC broadcaster for Sweden, SVT. They will not be taking over the show either, and their child’s version of “Melodifestivalen” (titled “Lilla Melodifestivalen”) goes on a hiatus this year.

UPDATE: Niklas Vestberg, executive producer of TV4 has informed ESCDaily that they will not be participating due to no space in their scheduling at this time.
