We may not get to see our 2020 favourites take to the stage, but that doesn’t mean we can’t reminisce on our Eurovision favourites. This series is aimed to discover the team’s favourite entries from the 21st century, from 2001 to 2019.
In collaboration with Eurovision Union, we will be reviewing some of their 21st Century favourites, while over on their site, you will find their reviews of our favourites!
Below our reviews, you will find a poll where you can vote for your favourite Eurovision entry from the 21st Century.
Belgium
Dennis Reviews Anita’s 21st Century Favourite
Loic Nottet – Rhythm Inside | 4th place, 217 points (Final)
Excellent choice. As a Dutch guy, I always follow the songs from my neighbour country Belgium with some extra interest. And Loïc Nottet is one of my all time favourite artists from the country at Eurovision. Such a contemporary song, staged in an authentic way, combined with flawless vocals. This is a song that is still in my playlist, five years after the contest in Vienna took place.
Brandon Reviews Joshua’s 21st Century Favourite
Laura Tesoro – What’s The Pressure | 10th place, 181 points (Final)
I remember a lot of love for this song after the 2016 Belgium terrorist attacks and deservedly so. She was a much needed breath of energy and otherwise serious year of entries. Always have a special place in my heart for this song, just not my Spotify account.

I would have voted Hooverphonic if they were in
