Netherlands: 3JS confirmed for 2011 (UPD)

As suspected, 3JS (Jaap, Jan and Jaap) will be the Dutch representatives at Eurovision 2011.

Dutch DJ Giel beelen initially began the rumour that 3JS (Jaap, Jan and Jaap) will be the Dutch representatives at Eurovision 2011. Today TROS confirmed this rumour and therefore announce 3JS as their representatives for the upcoming contest. Daniël Dekker, one of TROS’ commentators of Eurovision 2010, revealed that 3JS will present five songs in a Nationaal Songfestival. The winning song will be decided by 50% televote and 50% jury vote in the national final which will take place early next year.

The band consists of; Jan Dulles (vocals), Jaap Kwakman (electric guitar, mandolin, background vocals) and Jaap de Witte (acoustic guitar, backing vocals). 3JS was asked to represent their home country back in 2009 and 2010 but rejected the offers. The song is most likely to be in Dutch.

The trio has already had big success in the Netherlands:
