Alex Florea has been eliminated after the first semi final of Selecția Națională in Romania. Last year he won the show and represented Romania in Kiev with ‘Yodel It!’, together with Ilinca.
This year, Florea tried to go solo to Eurovision with the song ‘Nobody told me it would hurt’. The three acts that did make the cut in the first show on Sunday are:

- Alexia and Matei

We saw twelve acts in the first out of five semi finals in Romania. Only three acts got a ticket for the grand final on the 25th of February.

Eduard Santha back in the final
Eduard Santha reached the final for the second year in a row. Last year, the newcomer surprised with his song “Wild Child” and reached the final. ESCDaily spoke to him back then about what Eurovision means to him.
