
Greek Broadcaster ERT announced that Amanda Tenfjord will represent Greece at Eurovision in 2022.
During Studio 4 on ERT 1, former Eurovision representative Stefania announced that Amanda Tenfjord will fly the Greek flag at Eurovision next year. Amanda was one of five shortlisted artists, with the initial list featuring 25 artists. ERT formed a committee to review the submissions before creating a shortlist, and then ultimately selecting the representative.
The other shortlisted acts were:
- Good Job Nicky
- Ilias Kozas
- Lou Is
- Joanna Drigo
The 24-year-old artist was born in Greece and later moved to Norway with her family, settling in Tenfjord. Amanda’s first album, ‘First Impression’ received high praise among music press. From her second album, the single ‘Then I Fell In Love’ remained in Norway’s official Top 10 chart for over 20 weeks. In 2020, Netflix included her song ‘Troubled Water’ in the TV series Spinning Out.
Other than music, Amanda studies medicine and is doing her placement in a hospital for COVID-19 patients.
