France: Amaury Vassili strong contender to represent his country

Various French news sources have reported today that 21 year-old opera singer Amaury Vasilli is a very strong contender to represent the country in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, with some indicating that broadcaster France 3 have already offered the singer a ticket to Düsseldorf.

Hailing from the northern city of Rouen, the young singer became famous with his album Vincero from 2009, which went double-platinum after a worldwide release.

Sources have also indicated that Star Academy contestant Emma Daumas will represent France, should Vassili not accept the not-yet-confirmed offer from France 3.
