Ana Soklič has presented the song she will perform for Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021. She premiered the song ‘Amen’ during EMA 2021, in which she was the only artist to take the stage.
Ana won the Slovenian preselection in 2020 with the song ‘Voda’. After the cancellation, she received a free pass to go to Eurovision 2021 in Rotterdam. Her new Eurovision song is a traditional ballad in the English language, with a big crescendo towards the end.

It may come as no surprise that Soklič has chosen a song that reflects her Christian faith. She is an acclaimed songwriter of not only pop but also gospel music in Slovenia, and she performed with the famous Harlem Gospel Choir. During ‘Eurovision: Shine a Light’ she stated that “corona has taught me to always put God first”.
Slovenia longs for another Eurovision Song Contest
In a 1.5 hour show, Ana Soklič barely showed up on screen. Slovenian broadcasters instead took their time to relive some of its finest Eurovision memories. Through a heartbreaking recap of the corona crisis & cancellation of Eurovision 2020, it became clear that the Slovenians – like most of us – cannot wait for the contest to come back in 2021.
