András Kállay-Saunders announced that he will definitely apply for A Dal 2015. This year, Kállay-Saunders came fifth in the grand final with his hit song Running.
Hungary have never sent a performer twice to Eurovision but it can change next year as András has become interested in taking part once again. “Since I was a child I have always liked dreaming and giving myself new goals that others may thought would be not achievable. I have learnt you can achieve anything, the only person who can stop you is yourself. Four years ago my dream was to represent my beautiful country Hungary in the Eurovision Song Contest and this dream came true thanks to you. But like always, new goals and big dreams are on their ways. A lot of you asked and now I can tell you: I will apply with a song for A Dal. Now my dream is to win the Eurovision Song Contest” – he writes on his Facebook account.
András is the only performer who has been taking part in the Hungarian national selection from the beginning. In 2012 he competed with the song I Love You and got eliminated in the first heat but in 2013 he reached a top 4 spot in the final losing to ByeAlex. After winning A Dal 2014 he represented Hungary in Copenhagen and reached the second best result for the country (the best was Friderika Bayer who was fourth in 1994 Dublin).
