O Melodie Pentru Europa, the national final for Moldova has selected Anna Odobescu as their act for the Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv. Her song is called “Stay”.
The Grand Final took place in Chișinău this evening, and the result was decided by a 50/50 split between the jury and the public. The show was plagued by a number of technical issues, and that even resulted in one act having to perform twice.
Anna Odobescu not the audience favorite
In the end, Anna Odobescu won the jury vote. This landed her the victory, despite the fact that she did not win the televote round.

Moldova at Eurovision
In the last few years, Moldova have had top finishes. The highest of those came from returning the returning act Sunstroke Project and their song ‘Hey Mamma’ in 2017. And then in 2018, Philip Kirkorov teamed up DoReDos to bring us ‘My Lucky Day’ and they ended up finishing a respectable 10th with 209 points, having come 3rd in their semi final.
