Important dates concerning the contest were announced Tuesday morning in a press conference with ORF-General Alexander Wrabetz and Mayor Michael Häupl (SPÖ). The news they had to share ranged from ticket sales to the Head of Delegation meeting in March.
Most importantly, as it is understood, the Allocation Draw for the two Semi-Finals is scheduled for 26th January. As of the moment, 38 countries are set to participate in Eurovision Song Contest 2015.
And following the draw, over the 16th and 17th of March the Head of Delegation meeting will be held in Vienna. Where each participating nation will present their teams and last details of the contest will be finalized.
Other key dates to remember are as follows: The decision of where to place fan-venues such as Eurovision Village and the Euro Club will be made in early November. Wrabetz insured there are “very great possibilities” for these locations. To follow, it is reported that ticket sales should begin somewhere in mid-November.
December will see the presentation of official slogan (“Building Bridges”) artwork, and other details regarding staging and the competition will be resolved.
The draw and delegation meeting follow, along with individual preselction finals. And that brings us to March where the contest is in full swing.
The Semi-finals will take place on the 19th and 21st of May, and the Grand Final will be on the 23rd.
