The official Twitter account of the Eurovision Song Contest had announced that there will be news from Armenia today at 18:00 CET. Since broadcaster ARMTV already said it would make a internal selection, it looks like the Armenian act will be known today.
It seems as though Tamar Kaprelian is the artist to go to Vienna. After the Tweet of @Eurovision she posted on her own account: “O mannnn, I wonder what it is”, and she also states: “I know I’ve been away for a minute musically, but I have some exciting news.”
28-year old Tamar Kaprelian is an Armenian American musician and singer. She is best known for her single “New Day” and for winning the OneRepublic “Apologize” Cover Contest in March 2008.
Last year Armenia was represented by Aram MP3. His fourth place in the final with “Not Alone” was the best result for Armenia since 2008 when they also took the bronze at Eurovision.
