Armenia: Artsvik off to Kiev after winning Depi Evratesil

Artsvik will fly the Armenian flag in Kiev. She won the grand final of Depi Evratesil and a ticket for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017.

Artsvik Harutyunyan or just Artsvik wins the final in Armenia with both jury (31%) and SMS (40%) getting  a total of 71 points. Whereas her opponent Marta gets a total of 29 points – 10% from SMS and 19% from professional jury. The professional jury for tonight has consisted of seven-member experts coming from Armenian Diaspora!

The song for Artsvik will be announced later. Over the last couple of months, she left 79 other contestants behind in the large talent show in Armenia, with the likes of Iveta Mukuchyan, Hayko, Aram MP3, Essai and Inga & Anush guiding them as coaches and jury members.

Artsvik is best known for her participation in the second season of the Voice of Russia, where coach Dima Bilan decided not to turn around his chair for her. However, she managed to make it to the battle phase.

Tonight, at the final  we saw a special guest performance by the Eurovision 2017 representative from Cyprus, Hovig. He was internally selected to represent the nation earlier this year. Hovig Demirjian, is a Cypriot singer of Armenian descent, who speaks Armenian fluently. Hovig was happy to visit Armenia and confessed to be there for the first time.
