Get to know Isaiah Firebrace
Isaiah Firebrace, also known as Isaiah, is an Australian singer who won the eighth season of The X Factor Australia in 2016. This is remarkable, since he is only 17 years old. Isaiah released a self-titled debut studio album after his victory, released through Sony Music Australia on 9 December 2016.
The album was preceded by the lead single “It’s Gotta Be You”, which debuted at number 26 on the ARIA Singles Chart. The album features re-recorded studio tracks of some of the songs he performed on the show including his winning single, “It’s Gotta Be You”.
Australia at the Eurovision Song Contest
Isaiah is the successor of Dami Im and Guy Sebastian. Guy scored a respectable fifth place at Australia’s debut year in Vienna with his song ‘Tonight Again’. After that, Dami Im followed up with a fantastic second place. Her vocally stunning performance in ‘Sound of Silence’ impressed the juries. One year earlier in Copenhagen, Jessica Mauboy sang her song “Sea of Flags” as interval act in the second semi final.
