The Australian Eurovision club (ESCFAN) and radio station Joy 94.9 are jointly hosting a Eurovision cruise after a similar event in Sydney sells out. The demand for the preview party in Sydney was so high, that ESCFan decided to organize a second one on a boat in Melbourne.
This cruise will take place upon ‘The Lady Cutler’ which is a special showboat moored in the Melbourne docklands. The event will take place on Saturday 8th of April, with boarding commencing at 5.30pm local time, and the sailing time set for 6pm.
London and Amsterdam party
In the last couple of years, London and Amsterdam and several other European cities have organized Eurovision pre-parties. Obviously it is really difficult to get 2017 participants to perform Down Under. However, the organization of ESCFan managed to create an interesting program nonetheless.
All 43 of this years competing entries will be played throughout the night, with your chance to vote for your favourite. Prizes will be awarded for various different activities whilst on the ship. You can purchase food and drinks on board.

Ticket prices are as follows:
- $25 – ESCFAN members and JOY members
- $35 – Non early bird tickets (after 15th March)
This years Australian representative, Isaiah Firebrace will sing ‘Don’t Come Easy’. At only 17 years old, he has some big shoes to fill after Dami Im’s 2nd place performance in Stockholm.
