Australia: SBS takes part in Junior Eurovision 2016

Australia will once again take part in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. For the second year in a row, broadcaster SBS has confirmed they will be a part of the world’s biggest small song contest with their own contestant.

In Sofia last year, Bella Paige took the stage on behalf of Australia. After Australia’s debut entrant in Junior Eurovision, this year will see another young Australian take it up against talented singers, aged 10-15, from across Europe.

As per Eurovision tradition, 2016’s competition will be hosted by the country of the previous year’s winner. That means this year it will be held in Valletta, the stunning capital of Malta, after their representative, Destiny Chukunyere, blew all the competition out of the water with her powerhouse vocals.
