Christer Björkman will end his work as a producer for Melodifestivalen, the biggest preselection show for the Eurovision Song Contest in Sweden. SVT writes that he will stop in four years and the year 2021 will be he last.
The 9th edition of the biggest Eurovision Promo Event of the year, Eurovision in Concert, has been scheduled on the 8th of April 2017. The event will once again take place in The Netherlands, in the Melkweg in Amsterdam.
With 43 participating countries, the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest equals the record previously set in Düsseldorf. But it is not the only record that is met this year! Never have there been more returning artists in one edition of Eurovision than this year.
This morning, Swedish broadcaster publicly announced all the acts for the Swedish preselection, Melodifestivalen. Among them, several well-known names, like Krista Siegfrids, who participated in Eurovision for Finland in 2013, Tommy Nilsson (Sweden 1989) and Martin Stenmarck, who represented Sweden in 2005.
