During this week, ESCDaily spoke to several of the competing artists in Junior Eurovision Song Contest. In the build-up towards tonight’s big final in Bulgaria, we are publishing our interviews with Aimee from Ireland, Destiny from Malta and Shalisa The Netherlands.
For the first time this year, press is not allowed at the Euroclub after hectic rehearsal days. This decision was made by the steering group a while before the Junior Eurovision took place. “It’s the best for the competing children,” Executive Supervisor Vladislav Yakovlev has stated.

Executive Supervisor Vladislav Yakovlev informed ESC Daily that Australia is invited back to the 2016 Junior Eurovision if they are still interested. “They are in, they are happy, and I am pretty sure we will approach them next year to join us again.”

After two days of rehearsals, the young participants of this year’s Junior Eurovision finally got the Opening Ceremony they deserved. This happened two nights after BNT’s original plans, because of the unfortunate events in France last weekend.
